Eastman’s cleanroom is a world-class testing facility established so Eastman could provide Certificates of Analysis—24-hour basis, 365 days per year—on our EastaPure electronic chemicals sold into the semiconductor and related industries. As a result, our customers don’t need to spend their own time and money to test for trace metals, and they are assured of product quality from the start.
The cleanroom, fed with HEPA-filtered air to achieve Class 1000 specifications, is equipped with the following:
- VG PlasmaQuad 3 ICP-MS Instrument
- CEM CleanSTAR, a "clean room within a clean room"
- HIAC-Royco Model 8000A Particle Counter with an Auto-Flow Chemical Sampler
- Clean bench work area, certified Class 10
- Clean hood, certified Class 10
Eastman is one of a very few facilities in the United States to have a "cleanroom within a cleanroom". This equipment represents a new addition in the field of microwave digestion apparatus.
