Heatwave PET polyester CF746 is designed specifically for hot-fill applications. It is a clear PET polyester with a UV protection package chemically bonded to the backbone of the polymer.
Brand owners with hot-fill beverage (isotonics, fruit juices, teas, and energy, nutritional, and New Age drinks) and hot-fill food applications (jams, jellies, and sauces) will benefit from the UV protection. Damage to vitamins, flavors, or colors, which can be caused by exposure to UV light, will be significantly reduced when compared to other hot-fill polymers.
Converters will benefit because Heatwave PET polyester brings significant processing advantages to blow molding when compared to other resins used in hot-fill applications.
