Eastman has been producing effective food-grade antioxidants for more than 50 years. Four basic compounds - tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), propyl gallate (PG), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) are marketed under the trade name Tenox.

Many easy-to-use solution formulations are available containing antioxidants in various combinations and ratios dissolved in food grade solvents. Many also contain citric acid as an effective metal chelating agent. Tenox food grade antioxidants are offered as kosher products and are manufactured under rabbinical supervision in full accordance with Jewish dietary law.
