Ronald C. Lindsay is Executive Vice President responsible for Performance Chemicals & Intermediates Business, Performance Polymers Business, Olefin Stream, Gasification, Engineering & Construction at Eastman Chemical Company.
He was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in August of 2002.
After graduating from Clemson, Mr. Lindsay joined Eastman Chemical Company as a chemical engineer in manufacturing and process development, Acid Division. He served in various capacities in manufacturing and in 1994 was appointed to the Industrial Intermediates Business Organization as Market Manager for Acetyls. From 1995 through 2002, he served as Superintendent of the Development Department in Acid Division, Managing Director of Primester, and Superintendent of Acid Division and Organic Chemicals Division. In 2002, he attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Upon returning from Harvard Business School, Mr. Lindsay assumed responsibility as Director of Performance Chemicals and Intermediates Business Projects.
In 2003, Mr. Lindsay became Vice President and General Manager of Intermediates Business Organization and in 2005 acquired additional responsibility for the Performance Chemicals Business. In 2006, he was named Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In 2008, Mr. Lindsay was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Regional Leadership. He was appointed to his current position in May 2009.
Mr. Lindsay is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
