- Submit your resume. When job openings are available, complete your resume at South Carolina Employment Commission – any One-Stop office in the state or online at www.sces.org. You may submit your resume for specific position(s) only. Your skills and interests will be considered against current openings and will remain in our active file for one year.
- Your resume matches. During pre-screening, if it is decided that your resume matches our job qualifications, you will receive an invitation to attend a site overview. At this meeting you will be told more about the available open position(s) and will be given a plant tour.
- Application. If you decide that the position looks like a good match, you'll receive employment forms to complete so that we can further view your qualifications (i.e. Eastman Application for Employment, Voluntary Self-Identification form, and Background Check Authorization Release form). We will also request that you have your educational transcript or GED certification submitted to our office. This will give us insight into your work experiences and your academic achievements.
- Pre-Employment Test. Once we receive and review your completed employment forms and there is a match between your qualifications and the job, you would be contacted to be scheduled for a pre-employment test. The purpose of the pre-employment test is to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your abilities in math, reading and troubleshooting. After an evaluation of all the information collected from you including the results of your pre-employment test, you will be notified about receiving an interview at the site.
- Interview. Your visit will consist of an interview with Human Resources and manufacturing, maintenance, or laboratory personnel (depending on the opening). During the interview, the discussion will center on the position, your skills, and qualifications. During the interview, you'll also be able to ask any questions that you may have about the position. If you are not selected to go further in the selection process, please note that Eastman will retain your pre-employment information in our active file for one year.
- You are selected. The recruiter will contact you to make you a contingent job offer. The offer is contingent on the results of a pre-placement physical screen, drug screen, background check and (for operator positions only) a physical test. Once your acceptance is received, arrangements will be made for you to complete these requirements and report to work.
- On-Boarding. You will receive a welcome letter that will include your employment date as well as information regarding on-line required pre-employment forms that you will need to complete prior to your first day of work. On your first day of work, you will meet with the HR Staffing team that will provide you with additional information as will as help get you set for your career with Eastman.
- Welcome......you are now a part of the Eastman Team!
