Making contributions to the communities in which we operate is part of being a good neighbor. Our communities are essential to our success and we take our social responsibility very seriously. We strive to strengthen the ties between industry and community. We foster and promote a favorable environment for business growth by supporting education, economic development and related community needs. As a result, Eastman supports organizations and programs that help to promote our efforts of enhancing the quality of life where Eastman men and women live and work.
Civic and Community – This includes neighborhood support and business and economic development.
Health and Human Services – Eastman is a primary source for both funding and volunteers in United Way agencies and believes in its value to the community. Due to this commitment, health and human services contributions through the Foundation will be limited, and the requestor must show significant additional value.
Education – Because of our strong belief that quality education is the cornerstone to a stable society and the foundation for a stronger workforce, the largest portion of our contributions budget is dedicated to universities, colleges and innovative educational initiatives. We emphasize literacy, math, science and technology.
Culture and the Arts – This includes performing arts organizations, arts and cultural funds and councils, and performance sponsorships and educational outreach programs.
Other – In addition, Eastman supports organizations in which Eastman employees are active, or provide services that directly benefit employees and their families and organizations which substantially strengthen the community.
