Partnering with our communities is a tradition and an important business practice. Our philosophy is to invest in our communities and encourage them to invest in themselves. We are a proud corporate partner and sponsor to a number of worthwhile programs.

Chambers of Commerce - Eastman is an active member of the Chambers of Commerce, supporting leadership programs, Keep America Beautiful, community and economic development, and education initiatives.

Community Advisory Panels - Since 1990 Eastman has established open communications with our neighbors by forming Community Advisory Panels at five U.S. sites, one in Workington, England, and one each in Europoort and Middelburg, the Netherlands. The panels are composed of local residents who represent a cross-section of the community. They meet regularly with company representatives on topics of mutual interest.

Corporate Angel Network - Eastman makes our company planes available to transport cancer patients or bone marrow donors to hospitals for treatment and consultation.

Habitat for Humanity - In addition to sponsoring the funding for building materials, Eastman employees and retirees teamed up with Habitat to help a deserving family build a new home.

Junior Achievement - Eastman employees volunteer their time to teach the value of free enterprise, business and economics to students all over the world. We support several Junior Achievement activities throughout the country.

Make-A-Wish - Eastman employee groups have sponsored several ‘Make-A-Wish" children and enabled some big wishes to come true.

North East Texas Air Care - Texas Operations in Longview TX has been partnering with North East Texas Air Care which works to improve air quality in the area. For more information, visit www.netac.org.

Ozone Action Parthership -- Eastman partnered with local governmental officials, industry, academia and the medical community in Northeast Tennessee to form a volunteer effort to prevent high-ozone days.

United Way - The United Way supports nonprofit organizations in communities across North America. Eastman believes the United Way of giving is an effective means of providing solutions to local health and human service needs. Corporate ($20 per employee) and employee contribution pledges exceed $3M annually. We believe United Way agencies are important assets in our communities.

Transportation and Community Awareness/Emergency Response – Eastman is an active member of the national organization TRANSCAER (Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response), as well as being active at the state level at various Eastman locations, such as Tennessee and Texas. TRANSCAER is a voluntary national outreach effort that focuses on assisting communities to prepare for and respond to a possible hazardous material transportation incident.. Eastman participates in various TRANSCAER training events throughout the year. For more information visit www.transcaer.org.
