In addition to direct contributions from Eastman, employees, retirees and their families volunteer many hours of their time responding to the needs of the communities where they live and work around the world. Many do this in their children's schools, their community centers, civic clubs or their churches.

Week of Caring - This is a hands-on corporate volunteer program that enables employees to get involved with United Way agencies. Through donations of volunteer labor and materials, this event assists United Way agencies in accomplishing large improvement projects that could not otherwise be attempted. Each year, over 500 employees at the Kingsport site volunteer at 70 work sites.

Volunteer Kingsport Award for Volunteer Excellence - Eastman, in partnership with Volunteer Kingsport, hosts a luncheon during National Volunteer Week in April to pay tribute to individuals and groups of volunteers in five different categories.
