Eastman’s current gasification facility at our Kingsport, Tennessee, plant site provides the chemical building blocks for some of our most profitable businesses. With a reliable feedstock source, domestically generated, Eastman has been able to gain market share and secure competitive advantages in the sectors we serve.

We count on our industrial gasification process to turn a profit. That’s why we’re growing it.

Our strategy is to increase our gasification-generated feedstocks to 50 percent of our total requirements. To this end we are in continuing discussions with a number of industrial and financial partners looking to join us in constructing and operating additional industrial gasification facilities.

Our focus is on partnering with gasification developers and/or owners to create strong opportunities for chemical co-production or polygeneration. Preferred projects are those having solid financials, competitively advantaged feedstocks, and superior inbound/outbound logistics.
