The Texas Gasification Project

Current Status:

We have completed the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) effort which has produced a scope and estimate for the project. The capital cost is higher than we would like and we are working to address this issue. We are pursuing several financial incentives and programs offered through the Federal Government, while we work on commercial issues. As we await positive signs of economic recovery in the markets we serve, we are closely monitoring the Green House Gas legislation activity that may significantly impact this project. We plan to move into the detailed engineering phase once the project has been optimized in all of these areas.

Eastman is accepting contact information from parties interested in providing materials and services to the project. Opportunities will be identified throughout the EPC phase for suppliers to bid.
