KINGSPORT, Tenn., July 30, 2009 – Eastman Chemical Company was recently awarded a Silver ADDY® Award by the American Advertising Federation at its annual ADDY® Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. Eastman received the award for a photo campaign of its Eastman Embrace™ copolyesters for shrink film storyboard featuring an Elmer’s glue bottle on the Eastman Innovation Lab website.
The Silver ADDY® award winner was part of a marketing project that was a collaboration of Eastman’s photographic services, Innovation Lab team and marketing. The group was charged with the task of visually bringing Eastman’s products to life for consumers. Specifically, they were asked to show how Eastman Embrace™ copolyesters are found in everyday household items.
“It takes a diverse group of employees to make this company successful,” said Jim Rogers, president and CEO. “We’re proud to have such talented individuals working at Eastman and bringing our products to life in creative ways.”
The campaign also received local and regional recognition by earning a Gold ADDY® award in local and district competitions.
With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY® Awards are the world's largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association conducts the ADDY® Awards through its 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts.
