Eastman Increases Acetyls Prices on October 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Sep. 3, 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Oct. 1. These increases are due to elevated operating costs, particularly in raw materials

Eastman Glacial Acetic Acid, All Grades: Off-list price increase of USD 0.03/lb (USD 0.07/kg) in North America and Latin America.

Eastman Acetic Anhydride, All Grades: Off-list price increase of USD 0.02/lb (USD 0.05/kg) in North America and Latin America; USD 0.04/lb (USD 0.08/kg) in Asia Pacific; and EUR 50/MT in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
