Eastman Increases Alcohol Prices on October 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Sept. 9, 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Oct. 1, or as contracts allow. These increases are due to elevated operating costs, particularly in raw materials and energy.

Eastman™ N-Propyl Alcohol: Off-list price increase of $US 0.02 /lb ($US 0.044/kg) globally.

Eastman™ Isopropyl Alcohol: Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.066/kg) globally.
