Eastman Increases OXO Alcohol Prices on October 1st, 2009

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Sept. 9, 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Oct. 1, or as contracts allow. These increases are due to elevated operating costs, particularly in raw materials

Eastman™ 2-Ethylhexanol: List price increase of $US 0.09 /lb ($US 0.198/kg) in North America and Latin America. Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America and Latin America.

Eastman™ n-Butyl Alcohol: List price increase of $US 0.09 /lb ($US 0.198/kg) in North America and Latin America. Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America and Latin America.

Eastman™ Isobutyl Alcohol: List price increase of $US 0.09 /lb ($US 0.198/kg) in North America and Latin America. Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America and Latin America.

Eastman™ 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid: List price increase of $US 0.08 /lb ($US 0.176/kg) in North America and Latin America. Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America and Latin America.

Eastman™ Propionic Acid, All Grades: Off-list price increase of $US 0.03 /lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America and Latin America.
