Eastman to Launch New Performance Additive at ChinaCoat

Eastman Solus™ 2300 helps improve performance, boost productivity and lower VOCs by enabling higher solids

Kingsport, TN (November 5, 2009) -- Eastman Chemical Company will launch its new Eastman Solus™ 2300 performance additive for high-solids systems and offer sustainable formulating expertise from Booth E3 B01-07 at ChinaCoat in Shanghai, November 18-20.

Eastman Solus™ 2300 is engineered to provide enhanced appearance and performance in high-solids systems while concurrently helping address today’s stringent VOC regulations.

Eastman Solus™ 2300 benefits include improved productivity, enhanced appearance, and lower VOCs by achieving higher solids, optimized flake control, enhanced distinctness of image, reduced dry-to-touch times, improved re-dissolve resistance, and smoother films.

The Solus™ family of performance additives are being developed to meet global market demand for paints and coatings that deliver regulatory compliance with maximized performance. Derived from natural and renewable cellulose material, additional Solus™ product lines are under development for both waterborne and solventborne systems.
