Visitors to the show will learn how major brand owners in the appliance and consumer/commercial housewares sectors have begun to utilize Tritan to improve their product lines. Attracted by the material’s durability and design versatility, showcased brands include: CamelBak, a leading provider of hydration systems; Vita-Mix, a top producer of high-end blending equipment; and Carlisle Food Service Products, a leading provider of food service supplies for the restaurant and hospitality industries.
Also at the show, Randy Beavers, Polymer Solutions Executive, Specialty Plastics Business Organization, Eastman Chemical Company, will co-deliver a presentation with John Caruso, Associate Professor of Industrial Design, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, entitled “Plastic Evolution: Design Intelligently with the new Plastics: Transforming Products with Sustainable Materials.” Focusing on the role of new plastic materials in the evolving design of home and housewares products, the presentation will take place on Sunday, March 16 from 1:30-2:30pm at the IHHS Design Center Theater.
“The home and housewares sector is a dynamic environment, and Eastman is committed to providing technologies that can enable designers, brand owners and manufacturers to effectively meet ever-changing market place demands” says Beavers. ”Tritan is a powerful example of that commitment.”
