Ronald C. Lindsay will become Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Regional Leadership, Eastman Chemical Company, effective August 1, 2008. He is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
He was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in August of 2002.
Mr. Lindsay joined Eastman Chemical Company as a chemical engineer in manufacturing and process development, Acid Division. He served in various capacities in manufacturing and in 1994 was appointed to the Industrial Intermediates Business Organization as market manager for acetyls. From 1995 through 2002, he served as Superintendent of the Development Department in Acid Division, Managing Director of Primester, and Superintendent of Acid Division and Organic Chemicals Division. In 2002, he attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Upon returning from Harvard Business School, Mr. Lindsay assumed responsibility as Director of Performance Chemicals and Intermediates Business Projects.
In 2003, Mr. Lindsay became Vice President and General Manager of Intermediates Business Organization and in 2005 acquired additional responsibility for the Performance Chemicals Business. Mr. Lindsay was appointed to his current position in April 2006.
Mr. Lindsay is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Engineering and Sciences at Clemson University.
