Eastman recognized for sustained support of U.S. National Guard and Reserves
Eastman received the Extraordinary Employer Support Award from the Department of Defense program, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for its exemplary, continued support of its employees who serve the U.S. National Guard and Reserves. ESGR's Extraordinary Employer Support Award was created to recognize sustained employer support of National Guard and Reserve service. Only prior recipients of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award or the Pro Patria Award, who have demonstrated sustained support for three years after receiving one of those awards, are eligible for consideration at the committee level. Subsequent awards may be given in three-year increments from the initial award.

Eastman was named in the Top 50 of America’s Most JUST Companies, according to Forbes and JUST Capital, a nonprofit that ranks the largest publicly traded corporations in the United States on the issues Americans care about most. The second annual JUST 100 ranking compares America’s companies head-to-head, based on the priorities of the American people. Eastman is recognized for outperforming its peers on the criteria deemed to be most important, including worker pay and treatment, job creation, healthy products and communities, environmental impact, and more.
Eastman named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality
Eastman received top marks and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The 2018 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

For the sixth consecutive year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognizes Eastman (NYSE: EMN) with an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award for continued leadership and superior energy efficiency achievements. This year marks Eastman’s fourth consecutive ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award, EPA’s highest ENERGY STAR honor. The award reaffirms Eastman’s commitment to managing natural resources, which continues to drive sustainable and impactful improvements in energy performance, resulting in energy intensity reductions, avoided costs and lowered emissions.
Eastman receives 2017 AICM Responsible Care Chairman’s Award in China
Shanghai, China, June 20, 2017 – Eastman, a global specialty chemical company, was honored with the 2017 Responsible Care® Chairman's Award in China granted by AICM. Eastman received the award for its outstanding achievements in implementing and promoting Responsible Care along its value chain as well as its efforts in sustainability. It is the first Chairman award Eastman has received in China, followed by two consecutive Responsible Care Merit Awards in 2013 and 2015.
ACC Recognizes Eastman for Exceptional Energy Efforts|
For the 24th consecutive year, the American Chemistry Council (ACC) recently honored Eastman with eight Responsible Care® Energy Efficiency Awards for energy-efficiency improvements in 2016. One of only 15 companies to be recognized at the annual Responsible Care® Conference and Expo, Eastman brought home eight of the 51 awards presented for outstanding projects. ACC deemed 17 awards as “Exceptional Merit,” with five awarded to Eastman!

Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) has been named America’s Most JUST Company in the chemical industry, according to JUST Capital and Forbes magazine’s inaugural “JUST 100 List,” which for the first time ranks the publicly traded companies in the U.S. that perform best on the things Americans care most about. The rankings are based on one of the largest surveys ever conducted on attitudes towards corporate behavior, involving 50,000 Americans over the last 18 months. This year’s list ranks U.S companies against their peers within 32 major industries. In future years, Forbes and JUST Capital will rank companies across industries.
