Tong Xiang Xing Long Fine Chemical Ltd. (XL) is a wholly owned cellulose-based specialty polymers manufacturing facility located in Tong Xiang City, Zhejiang Province of China. Eastman acquired this company in January 2010.

XL is a manufacturing site of CAB (Cellulose Acetate Butyrate), which can be used as a binder in protective and decorative coatings for various substrates such as wood, textiles, cloth, paper, plastics and leather. It can be used in coatings for the packaging industry due to its excellent release properties and high temperature resistance. CAB can also be used as a coating additive, where it provides a significant performance edge, including good flow and leveling, faster drying, sag resistance, viscosity control and metal flake orientation.

XL supports Eastman’s Coatings, Adhesives, Specialty Polymers and Inks segment, specifically its Ensure™ product line. The site provides additional capacity to meet customer demand in China, as well as the growing demand for our other cellulose-based specialty polymers worldwide.
