Caulks & Sealants

Eastman's recommended raw materials for caulks and sealants are Eastotac, Kristalex, Piccotex and Regalrez hydrocarbon tackifying resins, Eastoflex amorphous polyolefins, Eastman plasticizers, and ester and ketone solvents. Major applications for these products are insulated glass, extruded tapes, and general-purpose caulks.

Hydrogenated Hydrocarbon Resin Eastotac Suggested for applications where excellent color stability and low odor are critical Compare Products
Regalite Used to achieve an optimal balance of mid-block and end-block compatibility in styrenic block copolymer formulations
Hydrogenated Pure Monomer Resin Regalrez Useful in formulating systems with high clarity and UV resistance such as clear sealants, window bedding compounds, and exterior-grade PSA tapes and labels Compare Products
Pure Monomer Resin Kristalex Made from pure monomers so they are water-white in color and extremely stable against thermal and oxidative degradation Compare Products
Piccotex Suitable for adhesive applications where color and stability are critical when a highly colored aromatic tackifier will not suffice
Rosin Resin Dymerex Recommended to improve adhesion with less cohesion loss Compare Products
Lewisol 28-M

Lewisol 28-M resin is well suited for use in lacquers, low temperature heat-cured enamels, certain printing inks, and grease resistant coatings

Lewisol 29-M Lewisol 29-M resin offers excellent solubility, good solvent evaporation, good resistance to oxidation and low viscosity in solution for making RS Nitrocellulose lacquers
Permalyn

Excellent choice when gloss is important in hot melt applications

Poly-Pale Recommended in applications requiring no crystallization
Staybelite-E Recommended when a combination of oxidation resistance, tack retention and good color stability is required
Tall Oil and Fatty
Acid Derivative
Pamolyn Recommended in applications where low odor combined with excellent color stability is important
Water-Dispersible Polymer Eastman AQ

Ideally suited for applications where adhesive removal after application is required such as re-pulping of paper and plastic and glass recycling
