Adhesive manufacturers for the footwear and leather industry have developed a variety of water-based, hot melt, and solvent-based products. Eastman Chemical Company has developed a variety of materials which can be used in these applications to control and tack and improve processibility of adhesives in these demanding applications. Footwear often contains a wide range of materials that can be difficult to bond and adhesives must be specially formulated for the unique processes involved in their manufacture.
Visit the Footwear and Leather Applications section of the Tackifier Center for specific reference information.
