| Texanol ester-alcohol (2,2,4-trimethyl-1, 3- pentanediol monoisobutyrate) gives a good balance of properties. This product is compatible with most latexes, available at low cost (domestically), easily added to formulations (generally doesn’t gel), and provides good color development properties.
