Eastman MPK and Eastman MPK, UHP solvents have been selected as an effective non-HAP solvent alternative to MEK and Toluene on military and commercial aircraft. Eastman MPK satisfies the rigorous aerospace performance requirements and provides good cleaning performance in removal of soils and hydraulic oils, removal of adhesives, and cleaning of paint guns. It is environmentally friendly, evaporating more slowly than alternative solvents, with no significant contribution to ground-level ozone. And the slower evaporation rate compared to MEK allows for more MPK solvent to remain in the wipe material during cleaning and extends the usable life of the wipe.
