U.S. EPA Update: On November 18, 2004, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) removed ethylene glycol butyl ether (EGBE) from the Clean Air Act (CAA) list of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). EGBE are thus no longer subject to the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT), residual risk and other specific requirements found in the CAA. Full Story... Eastman sells EGBE under the brand name Eastman EB Solvent.
