Multi-Functional rheology modifier

The multi functional properties of Eastman™ cellulose esters provide many benefits at an additive level in coil coatings. These include the following:

• Improved metallic and pearlescent flake alignment
• Enhanced flow and leveling
• Improved gloss control with matting agents, Higher gloss in high gloss systems.
• Pigment dispersion.

Often all these benefits can be provided by one single grade of CAB reducing the complexity of the formulation and often reducing the cost due to the reduced number of additives.
