| Neither a bond nor a permit are required to purchase Eastman’s denatured ethyl alcohols (TECSOL alcohols). TECSOL Special Industrial Solvents are intended for use as ingredients or solvents in manufacturing processes and may not be distributed through retail channels or reprocessed into other solvents containing more than 50% alcohol by volume. However, special industrial solvents may be reprocessed into other special industrial solvents without adhering to the 50% alcohol by volume restriction if the manufacturer has an industrial alcohol permit. Special labeling requirements of the BATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) apply. TECSOL solvents may be used in industrial operations and in the manufacture of articles for sale such as printing inks and as latent solvents in cellulosic coatings.
