| An oxidative stability test conducted at Eastman showed that Tenox TBHQ (tertiary butylhydroquinone) and Tenox PG (propyl gallate) are about equally as effective in castor oil; and both are much more effective than either Tenox BHA or Tenox BHT. However, Tenox PG can form deeply-colored complexes with metal ions (copper and iron). So unless your formulation is metal-free, we suggest using Tenox TBHQ.
