Toughness

Tritan is a tough and durable material that can maintain functional and aesthetic integrity over a long product life.

Hydrolytic Stability

Tritan is much more stable than polycarbonate (PC) in warm, humid environments. This leads to less cracking in dishwashers.

Chemical Resistance

Tritan delivers similar chemical resistance to normal copolyesters. Its ability to be processed with lower residual stress than PC helps extend life in many chemically harsh environments without crazing or haziness.

Cycle Time 

Tritan combines a desirable Tg and hydrolytic stability that optimally balances residual stress development and cycle time. Cycle time is further reduced by not requiring pre-drying of thermoformed sheets or annealing of molded parts.

Drying

Sheets made of Tritan can be thermoformed without pre-drying the sheets, reducing cycle time and energy costs.
