In this trial Eastman Tritan™ MX711 was tested under ASTM D256 Notched Izod Impact at 23°C. Eastar™ MN006 copolyester as well as a medical grade acrylic and polycarbonate were tested for comparison. Two thickness were evaluated, the standard 1⁄8 inch as well as 1⁄4 inch. Tritan™ MX711 copolyester maintains high impact strength at both thicknesses, as sometimes the break mode of no break can also be labeled as hinge or partical break under ASTM test. |
