EtO Sterilization

Ethylene Oxide (EtO) gas is one of the most popular sterilization technologies currently available.  An effective EtO process can be properly designed for almost every type of medical device. 

The relationship between the product being sterilized and the equipment used must be evaluated.  Physical configuration, raw-material composition, natural bioburden, sensitivity to positive and negative pressure changes, maximum heat tolerance, and chemical reaction to water and ethylene oxide are characteristics that must be examined.
