Critical Constraints
  • Booster ratio = Diameter 1/Diameter 2
Notes:
  • Booster ratio higher than 1.0 increases amplitude.
  • Booster ratio lower than 1.0 decreases amplitude.
  • Amplitude is a critical factor that controls the amount of energy delivered to the weld. Excess energy may result in melted parts while too little may produce weaker welds.
  • Suggest using 1:1 ratio at start-up, followed by site testing to determine optimum boost ratio for each application.
