The Boy Scouts of America have been and continue to be a very active partner in the Nature Center program.

Scouts partner with Eastman to complete required Eagle Projects in the company's Nature and Wildlife Habitat Area. Past projects have included: clearing nature trails, installing bird nesting boxes and building bat houses, constructing bridges and benches, planting dogwood trees, and fencing a parking lot.

Cub scouts also visit the Nature Center to walk the trail as part of their pack’s outdoor activities.  The scouts which participate represent several troops in the East Texas Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.
