Regalrez™ hydrocarbon resins represent the ultimate in low color, heat stability and UV stability among hydrocarbon resins. Using pure aromatic monomer resin as the starting material, the hydrogenation process used to make Regalrez™ resins results in a product with an initial of less than 6 on the Yellowness Index scale. Depending on the level of hydrogenation Regalrez™ hydrocarbon resins are compatible with a wide range of polymers.  Additionally the highly hydrogenated grades of Regalrez™ resins are exceptionally good tackifiers for hydrogenated block copolymers such as S-EB-S, and S-EP-S as well as being exceptionally compatible with polyolefins. Regalrez™ hydrocarbon resins are useful in formulating systems with high clarity and UV resistance such as clear sealants, window bedding compounds, and exterior-grade PSA tapes and labels. Regalrez™ hydrocarbon resins are available in a wide range of softening points, from liquid at room temperature to a softening point of 140°C.
