Root-knot nematodes are a problem for growers. These microscopic roundworms attack and penetrate the roots of plants, preventing water and nutrients from reaching leaves and fruit, which can seriously reduce harvest quantity and quality. Since growers face dwindling choices for fighting soil pests, Cedroz was developed. It offers a nature-identical solution that copies natural plant defense mechanisms, and its active substances are approved for organic farming in the EU.

Those active compounds—thymol and geraniol—have a synergistic mode of action that increases their efficacy in treated soil. The environmental profile of Cedroz shows no interference with pollinators.

The water-based formulation uses Eden's terpene technology and the patented Sustaine® encapsulation system. When dry, the outer shell forms a carbohydrate glass to lock in the active ingredients. Once hydrated, the particles activate and provide sustained release via pores. Osmotic stress will cause the pores to close again. They'll reopen again when rehydrated for further active ingredient release.

Cedroz has lethal effect against juvenile stage root-knot nematodes and inhibits egg hatching. It leaves no residues and can be applied until harvest. And you can easily apply it via existing drip irrigation systems.
