NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Eastman is proud to introduce Eastman Optifilm™ additive OT1200, a low VOC additive which replaces volatile glycols while improving open time and wet edge in water-based trim and wall paints.

The Eastman Optifilm™ family of products keeps you ahead of VOC regulations and customer requirements without falling behind in performance. Developed to give you more options for meeting current and evolving needs throughout the world, our Eastman Optifilm™ products are

  • Non- or very low VOC
  • Low odor
  • Efficient
  • Non-yellowing
  • Safe

Recently introduced Eastman Optifilm™ additive OT1200 is designed to enable formulators to significantly reduce VOC content in water-based trim and wall paints by replacing volatile glycols while improving open time and wet edge - and without negatively affecting other paint properties. At the same time, it maintains other key properties, such as water resistance, wet adhesion, blocking resistance, and stability. It also performs well over a range of application conditions.

Eastman Optifilm™ enhancers effectively coalesce a variety of latex types while maintaining a good balance of performance, and they are the perfect choice for low odor applications. They are also compatible with solvent-borne resins, and improve the rheology, flexibility, and adhesion of coatings based on these resins.

  • As a coalescent, Eastman Optifilm™ enhancer 300 is available globally; for North America, where it is considered a VOC, Eastman offers Eastman Optifilm™ enhancer 400.

  • In industrial bake coatings, Eastman Optifilm™ enhancer 300 is an efficient retarder solvent for coil and can, industrial metal, and automotive OEM applications.

The Eastman Optifilm™ family of products - providing more formulation flexibility for meeting VOC concerns and consumer preference, without compromising performance.
