Eastman South Carolina Operations (SCO) manufactures specialty plastics that are used in the production of specialty film and packaging products. Specialty plastics from the SCO site are shipped to customers throughout the USA and Europe.

The manufacturing site is located on the Congaree River in rural Calhoun County. The site was established in 1967 as Carolina Eastman, and was originally built to produce polyester fiber for the textile industry.
