The robust properties of this distinctive material provide reduced surface tack, improved flow, and good UV stability.
This cellulose ester enables lower solution viscosities with the lowest glass transition temperature (Tg) in the cellulose acetate butyrate portfolio. The relatively low molecular weight (M(n)) of Solus™ 1100 ES-65 (as compared to other cellulose esters) supports compatibility with other formulation components, including a wide range of cross-linking resins and curing resin systems. Solus™ 1100 ES-65 is available in pellet form.

Eastman Solus™ 1225 performance additive is designed to deliver on the high performance expectations required of ink and metal packaging formulations. This cellulose-based additive enables formulations with good resistance to UV discoloration, excellent hardness and anti-blocking properties in support of high production speeds. Solus™ 1225 is well adapted for use in printing inks and overprint varnishes as a result of its wide solubility in relevant solvents, strong compatibility with other ink resins, desirable resistance to grease and oil, low odor properties, and high melting point. When Solus™ 1225 is dissolved in appropriate solvents a clear, colorless solution is produced. Supplied as a dry free-flowing powder, this product is often used in combination with other Solus™ products to optimize the formulation viscosity.
Eastman Solus™ 1225 is based on cellulose, one of Earth's most abundant natural renewable resources, with an approximate calculated bio-content value of 45%.
