Product description

Eastman Tritan™ FX200 is a copolyester resin for calendered and extruded film applications where enhanced heat resistance and toughness are required. It works great in hot fill packaging for food, transaction and identification cards, and protective laminates.

Packaging brands and film converters prefer Tritan™ FX200 for its ability to provide a clear, aesthetically pleasing package that stands up to the strenuous requirements for hot filling, while also providing safety that consumers expect. It’s great for brands looking to replace materials of concern or premiumize their packaging by transitioning from opaque to clear.

Transaction and identification card producers, brands, and governments alike value Tritan™ FX200 for its excellent bend strength and chemical resistance, which provides longer useful life and better security. Compared to PVC and other material alternatives, transaction cards made with Tritan™ have been found to withstand more than 10 times the number of flexural cycles using industry standard fitness for use testing protocols.

Tritan™ FX200 may be used in various food contact applications under the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.

This product has received a Platinum level Material Health Certificate from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute.
