Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Chris M. Killian is senior vice president and chief technology officer. Killian is responsible for Eastman’s global technology organization. Prior to this position, he served as vice president of Additives & Functional Products, Chemical Intermediates, and corporate technology and vice president of Advanced Materials technology. He joined Eastman in 1996 as a research chemist. During his Eastman career, he has held leadership positions in technology and business, including director of the Tritan growth platform, director of polymers technology and director of coatings and adhesives technology.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he and his wife Sharon live in Johnson City, Tennessee, with their three daughters. He is a member of the UNC Chapel Hill Chemistry Advisory Board. He is active at Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City and enjoys riding his Peloton, running and following Carolina athletics.
