Recently, the Eastman Naia™ team and mill customer Tianyi Textile jointly hosted a Naia™ seminar in Shanghai to introduce Eastman Naia™ cellulosic yarn to brands. The seminar attracted more than 30 designers and buyers from Chinese fashion brands.

During the panel discussion session, Kevin Chen, business development manager of Eastman’s fibers division; James Lu, general manager of Tianyi Textile; and Prof. Cheng Shen exchanged their views on the latest consumer insights, market trends, and innovations from Eastman.

“Naia™ is not only a sustainable design choice for designers; it also affords almost unlimited possibilities for textural and style variety. It is important for us to collaborate with mill partners, like Tianyi Textile, who have great capability and strong confidence in fabric innovation to develop more and more beautiful fabrics with Naia™,” said Chen.

At the seminar, Tianyi Textile demonstrated a variety of fabrics containing Naia™ cellulosic yarn, and the designers were impressed with the inherent qualities that sustainably sourced Naia™ brings to the fabrics.
