Acetate Renew further demonstrates limitless design capabilities without compromise.

KINGSPORT, Tennessee and HARTBERG, Austria

ANDY WOLF, an independent eyewear brand in the luxury segment, and Eastman, a specialty materials company, are pleased to receive the SILMO d’Or award in the designer eyewear sunglass category for new BLOSSOM frames by ANDY WOLF crafted with Eastman Acetate Renew. This prestigious award not only recognizes the exceptional design and quality of ANDY WOLF but also highlights their commitment to sustainability and innovation in the eyewear industry.

The new BLOSSOM sunglasses were inspired by the wildflower meadows that surround ANDY WOLF headquarters in Hartberg, Austria. Handcrafted exclusively from Acetate Renew, BLOSSOM features a removable acetate inner ring in the shape of a three-dimensional petal and embodies the artistry of traditional craftmanship. By the end of 2023, 75% of all acetate frames at ANDY WOLF will be changed to Eastman Acetate Renew, completing the material adoption ahead of schedule.

Wolfgang Scheucher, founder of ANDY WOLF, commented, "We are really proud to be at the forefront of sustainability and environmental responsibility in the eyewear industry. This SILMO d’Or award win for designer eyewear sunglasses further highlights the exceptional quality in design possibilities for eyewear produced with Eastman Acetate Renew.”
