Eastman Stabilizers—versatile solutions for TMR, high-moisture grains, and liquid pig feeding

Eastman Stabilizers present a range of products that combine advantages of several organic acids. Eastman Stabilizer products can aid in prevention of problems such as total mixed ration (TMR) heating, unwanted fermentation of liquid pig feed, and spoiling of high-moisture grains.

What do Eastman Stabilizers offer?

Prevention of heating of total mixed ration (TMR)

TMR is a suitable environment for the growth of several microorganisms that cause spoilage. The rapid growth of these microbes consumes nutrients in TMR and causes spontaneous heating. This results in reduced feed intake, reduced milking frequency in automated milking, and decreased milk production. Use Eastman Stabilizer TMR to prevent growth of harmful microbes in the TMR.

It is applied into the TMR at the time of TMR preparation and mixed well into the whole batch.

Success with high-moisture grains

The Eastman Stabilizer product family includes the specialty product Eastman Stabilizer Crimp, designed for ensiling high-moisture grains or corn. It is typically applied into grains at the time of grain crimping or rolling.

The product composition is specially designed to improve aerobic stability of the ensiled grains after storage opening. Several effective compounds offer a synergistic effect, enabling strong control of both molds and yeasts. The noncorrosive product with mild smell enables a pleasant user experience.

Combining hygiene control and palatability with high-quality liquid pig feed

Liquid pig feed is a fresh product whose quality has a direct impact on animals' appetite and the economic performance of the farm.

Acidified liquid pig feed supports feed digestion of pigs and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria in the digestive tract. The use of acid also effectively reduces the yeast and mold content of the feed, which improves the palatability of the feed and reduces the energy losses of the feed.

Eastman Stabilizer Pig Na is used to control pH and microbial growth in mixing tank and in the feeding pipeline and valves. A combination of both formic acid and lactic acid helps to control pH and fermentation and keep good palatability. The sodium-based buffering helps to reduce metal corrosion and evaporation.
