Eastar™ 6763 copolyester

The standard for clear rigid medical packaging for more than 20 years, Eastar™ copolyesters consistently deliver value by providing these advantages:

Eastman Tritan™ MP100 copolyester

Eastman Tritan™ copolyesters provide many advantages of Eastar™ 6763  copolyester with even better post-sterilization clarity and color. Plus, Tritan MP100 delivers higher heat resistance and greater inherent toughness needed for some rigid medical packaging applications.

    • Allows redesign for lightweighting and downgauging to reduce secondary packaging

  • Higher heat resistance

Eastman Eastalite™ copolyesters

Engineered to be an attractive alternative to opaque high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), Eastman Eastalite™ copolyester is a safe and sustainable choice for solid protection. Eastalite is a foamed copolyester resin that, when extruded into sheet, can be cut with minimal generation of particulates or angel hair—saving processing and inspection time, reducing waste and cleaning, and lowering costs. Eastalite also provides:

  • Greater impact strength than HIPS after sterilization
  • Color stability and functional integrity following sterilization*
  • Lightweighting opportunities
  • Cleaner cutting than HIPS

Eastalite Copolyester MP007F 
Eastalite™ Foamed Copolyester MP007F with nonporous Eastar™ Copolyester 6763 skins is an opaque, amorphous material with a closed foam structure useful for medical packaging.

Eastar™ 6763 copolyester meets ISO 10993 and/or USP Class VI biocompatibility requirement; Food Contact Status compliant
Eastar 6763 is a clear, amorphous material that can be molded and extruded with ease. Its excellent performance properties include clarity, toughness, good melt strength, no dusting, no stress whitening, good heat sealability, easy cutting and thermoforming. Eastar 6763 may be colored using color concentrates, dry colors, or liquid colorants. Eastar 6763 can be safely sterilized with proper ethylene oxide, radiation, or electron beam methods without property loss or color shift. It is well suited for medical packaging.

Eastar Renew 6763-50 Copolyester 
Eastar™ Renew copolyester 6763-50 meets ISO 10993 and/or USP Class VI biocompatibility requirement.

Tritan Copolyester MP100 
Eastman Tritan™ MP100 copolyester is suitable for use with most forms of sterilization including radiation and ethylene oxide. It is NOT suitable for autoclave/steam sterilization.

Tritan Copolyester MP150 
Eastman Tritan copolyester MP150 is a high flow grade of Eastman Tritan. Eastman Tritan copolyester MP150 has viscosity reductions of 40-50% relative to Eastman Tritan copolyester MP100. It is intended for use in extrusion coating processes or where high melt flow rate is desirable.

Tritan Copolyester MP200 
Eastman Tritan(TM) MP200 is an amorphous copolyester that combines excellent clarity and toughness with outstanding heat and chemical resistance.
