Eastman Again Named One of America’s Most Just Companies in 2017 by Forbes and JUST Capital
Eastman was named in the Top 50 of America’s Most JUST Companies, according to Forbes and JUST Capital, a nonprofit that ranks the largest publicly traded corporations in the United States on the issues Americans care about most. The second annual JUST 100 ranking compares America’s companies head-to-head, based on the priorities of the American people. Eastman is recognized for outperforming its peers on the criteria deemed to be most important, including worker pay and treatment, job creation, healthy products and communities, environmental impact, and more.

Eastman named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality
Eastman received top marks and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The 2018 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

Eastman designated a 2017 Military Friendly® Employer
Victory Media / G.I. Jobs® named Eastman a 2017 Military Friendly® Employer based on publicly available data from federal agencies; personal opinion data from veteran employees or students; and proprietary Military Friendly® survey data from participating organizations. For more than a decade, the Military Friendly® ratings have set the standard for companies and colleges that provide positive employment and education outcomes for veterans and their families.

Eastman Named as a World’s Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute for the Fourth Consecutive Year
Eastman has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as a World’s Most Ethical Company® for the fourth consecutive year. The prestigious honor underscores Eastman’s commitment to leading with the highest ethical business standards and practices. “At Eastman, we understand that, to be successful, we must build trust and confidence with our stakeholders,” said Mark Costa, Eastman’s chairman and chief executive officer. “I’m beyond proud of our Eastman team for their commitment to conducting business with honesty and integrity every day and for earning this recognition once again this year.”

Eastman Tops Inaugural “JUST 100” List in the Chemical Industry, Published by JUST Capital and Forbes
Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) has been named America’s Most JUST Company in the chemical industry, according to JUST Capital and Forbes magazine’s inaugural “JUST 100 List,” which for the first time ranks the publicly traded companies in the U.S. that perform best on the things Americans care most about. The rankings are based on one of the largest surveys ever conducted on attitudes towards corporate behavior, involving 50,000 Americans over the last 18 months. This year’s list ranks U.S companies against their peers within 32 major industries. In future years, Forbes and JUST Capital will rank companies across industries.

Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as a 2016 World’s Most Ethical Company®. This marks the third consecutive year that Eastman has appeared on the prestigious list.

Eastman Honored as One of the Best Places to Work in 2016
Eastman Chemical Company has been honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award recognizing the Best Places to Work in 2016. The Employees’ Choice Awards, now in its eighth year, relies solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies via Glassdoor’s anonymous online company review survey.

Eastman Chemical Company named a 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Eastman Chemical Company with a 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership in superior energy management. Through its partnership with the ENERGY STAR program since 2008, Eastman has made impactful improvements in its energy performance, resulting in energy intensity reductions, cost savings and lowered emissions.

This annual program honors a distinguished group of students, schools and employers for exemplifying what is being done in states across the country to improve individuals’ prospects for success. Eastman is the only employer in the nation to receive this prestigious distinction.

Eastman receives 2015 Responsible Care® Merit Award in China
Eastman China was awarded the “2015 Responsible Care® Merit Award” in Beijing on June 9, granted by the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM), for its outstanding achievements in implementing and promoting Responsible Care® along its value chain. This is the second time Eastman China has received this award.

Eastman Named Among Top 50 Employers by Workforce Diversity for Engineering & IT Professionals Magazine
Eastman was recently ranked as a top 50 employer for 2015 in the 14th annual listing published by Workforce Diversity for Engineering & IT Professionals. The list is based on a reader survey and will appear in the magazine’s Summer/Fall 2015 edition.

ACS recognizes Eastman innovation with Heroes of Chemistry award
Eastman was recently recognized by the American Chemical Society (ACS) with the Heroes of Chemistry award, an honor reserved by the ACS to celebrate innovative work in chemistry and chemical engineering that led to commercial products benefiting the world. Eastman received the award for the first time ever, and for one of the defining success stories in company history: Eastman Tritan™ copolyester.

Eastman Honored by AIChE for Process Safety Excellence
Eastman is being honored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for excellence in process safety. In recognizing Eastman, AIChE praised our distinguished, global achievements in environmental, health, safety and security and named our ALL IN FOR SAFETY initiative as a best practice. This achievement is in recognition of our leadership in the area of process safety and a testament to our commitment to continual improvement.
