Eastman AQ™
38S polymer

Eastman AQ™ 38S polymer is a water-dispersible film former that can greatly improve water resistance in a variety of sunscreen lotions and sprays.  

Lasting UV protection

Eastman AQ 38S helps protect skin from sun damage by boosting SPF through better dispersion of UV filters. It also extends the duration of UV protection with superior water resistance, improving UV filter retention even during water exposure.

This polymer offers multiple performance benefits, including:

  • Better dispersion of UV filters
  • Excellent film formation 
  • Requires no neutralization 
  • Added to the water phase 
  • Aids emulsification 
  • No increase in viscosity
