Concentrated solar power (CSP)

Eastman Therminol® heat transfer fluids are renowned for their exceptional durability, making them the perfect choice for long-lasting applications like concentrated solar power (CSP). Some plants generating CSP continue to run on their original, maintained charge of fluid that went in when the technology was first developed in the mid-1980s.

CSP reliability is determined by consistent operation in responding to temperature cycling, analytical support from the fluid supplier and excellent thermal stability. Fluid stability is ensured with stringent process controls when making the first-intent raw materials in these fluids. Materials are combined using ISO-certified processes and consistent product specifications to ensure ongoing, uncompromised performance.

In addition to CSP, Therminol fluids are well suited for emerging alternative energy solutions. This includes hybrid systems that integrate CSP with organic Rankine cycle (ORC) technology and applications that combine CSP with desalination processes.
