Today’s consumers demand sustainable choices. By choosing Eastman Vestera™ cellulosic fiber for their products, brands can enhance their sustainable message and reputation. Vestera is made from Eastman cellulosic resin, which is biodegradable in soil and under industrial and home composting conditions. The cellulose is derived from wood pulp—a renewable resource grown in responsibly managed forests.
During manufacturing, solvents are recycled back into the system to be cleaned and used again and again. This creates a near closed-loop system to ensure all waste is either reused or offered for resale. Before water is returned to source streams, it is processed in Eastman’s state-of-the-art, bioactive wastewater processing facility and is routinely tested to ensure that the plants and animals of our local river are receiving clean and safe water.

Vestera is made from sustainably harvested trees and is produced in a near closed-loop process in the United States where waste is either recycled, reused, or offered for sale.
During the production of Vestera, solvents are recycled back into the system for reuse. Water returned to source streams is routinely tested to ensure the biodiversity of the local river is receiving clean and safe water.
