Kingsport, Tenn. – February 16, 2018 – Eastman is proud to announce the launch of the next generation of Eastman Crystex™ insoluble sulfur: Eastman Crystex Cure Pro.
As an innovative vulcanizing agent, Crystex Cure Pro allows tire manufacturers to improve productivity and achieve operational cost savings. Productivity and operational enhancements are possible because Crystex Cure Pro is engineered with unique features including superior dispersion and enhanced flow. Crystex Cure Pro also has high thermal stability for better bloom avoidance.
Crystex Cure Pro has distinct properties that enable productivity and cost savings:
- High thermal stability allows higher mixing temperatures, faster calender speeds, and avoidance of bloom
- Superior dispersion facilitates uniform mixing in less time
- Enhanced flow means easier handling and faster fill rates
“Crystex Cure Pro will truly change the industry’s perception of what a vulcanizing agent can do. Cure Pro offers many processing advantages that lead to lower operating costs for tire manufacturers. Eastman developed this technology to help tire manufacturers succeed in an increasingly competitive landscape,” said Lucrèce Foufopoulos, Vice President of Eastman Tire Additives.
During the Tire Technology Expo 2018 in Hannover, Germany February 20-22, Eastman representatives will be at booth C340 with detailed information about how this new technology can help tire manufactures improve productivity and achieve operational savings.
Cure Pro was developed to be the industry’s premier vulcanizing agent by the cross-discipline global Eastman tire additives technology team of chemists, engineers, and application development scientists. The team conducts its research, development, and analytics work at the Eastman Technology Center of Excellence in Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.
